EP. 2 - OnePointOne, Health & Nuclear Power
EPISODE 2 - OnePointOne, Health & Nuclear Power
What is Vertical Farming? And who is OPO?
Two brothers, Sam (23) and John (25) Bertram, exiting their Masters in Robotics and Electrical Engineering respectively, wanted to improve the world as best they could. Upon discovering the greatest problems facing humanity and nature (see next section), they started a high-tech, indoor vertical farming company, OnePointOne aka OPO. The intent was to nourish the 1.1 billion people who began the millennium malnourished. Six years on, and with $70MM raised, they’ve developed a system that merges technology and biology; an automated plant production system. Go to our website to learn more.
Agriculture, Diet, and Death
What is the leading cause of environmental destruction? Agriculture.
What is the leading cause of human death? Poor diet.
Let me get this straight…we choose to obliterate nature to feed ourselves, and as a result poor nourishment is the leading cause of death worldwide? Yeeesh. How do you square that circle.
Now, I’ll be the first to attest to the miracle of modern agriculture. Truly. History is a messy success story, but, this is what news anchors, governments, ESG funds and Larry across the road should have on their minds.
I believe these problems (environmental damage caused by agriculture and poor nutrition being the major cause of death) are the greatest problems we face as a human race.
The solution? Ubiquitous power and indoor plant production. If humanity focused on proliferating nuclear power and co-located plant production facilities, both human and environmental health can be restored.
Stop Fearing Nuclear. It’s already the #1 Green Energy Source in the USA.
How many nuclear power plants are LIVE in the United States today? Don’t cheat! Fifty-three. Let that sink in. Nuclear power generates more clean energy in the US today than solar, hydro, and wind COMBINED. This technology is 50 years out of date, and it is yet to kill a single person in the USA due to malfunction. A nation-wide rollout of modern-day nuclear technology would establish energy independence…for good.
Can we let the miracle of nuclear physics save us yet, please?
